The 2020 Porsche 911 (991) RSR competed in the LMGTE Pro class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car was driven by the trio of Kevin Estre, Michael Christensen, and Laurens Vanthoor. The car featured a 4.2-liter flat-six engine, producing 515 horsepower, and a six-speed sequential gearbox. The Porsche 911 (991) RSR was one of the top contenders in the race, competing against other top manufacturers such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Corvette. The race was held in September instead of its traditional June date due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making it the first time the race was held in the fall. Despite the unusual circumstances, the 2020 edition of the race was still highly competitive, and Porsche finished in third place in the LMGTE Pro class.
