Nico Hülkenberg (born 19 August 1987) is a German professional racing driver who is currently competing in the Formula One World Championship for Haas F1 Team. This comes after serving as a reserve driver for Aston Martin F1 Team for the year of 2022. In 2015, he also contested two rounds of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship season for Porsche, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans on his first attempt.

Hülkenberg began his racing career in karting in 1997, and won the German Karting Championship in 2004. He moved to Formula Renault in 2005, and won the championship in 2006. He then moved to Formula 3 Euro Series in 2007, and finished third in the championship.

Hülkenberg made his Formula One debut with Williams in 2010. He scored his first points in the 2010 British Grand Prix, and finished the season in 14th place in the Drivers’ Championship. He moved to Force India in 2011, and finished the season in 10th place. He remained with Force India for the next four seasons, and scored points in 20 of the 40 races he contested.

In 2017, Hülkenberg moved to Renault. He scored points in 12 of the 20 races he contested, and finished the season in 10th place. He remained with Renault for the next two seasons, and scored points in 16 of the 40 races he contested.

In 2020, Hülkenberg was replaced at Renault by Esteban Ocon. He was then signed as a reserve driver for Aston Martin, and made his first appearance for the team in the 2021 British Grand Prix, replacing the injured Lance Stroll. He also made appearances for Aston Martin in the 2021 Italian Grand Prix and the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

In 2023, Hülkenberg was signed by Haas F1 Team. He made his debut for the team in the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix, finishing in 12th place.
